Project Offspring

The anonymity that the internet provides can be a blessing but for a lot of people, it's a curse.  People have used this anonymity to harass and stalk others and it has allowed bigots to spew their hate, saying things that they know they can't say offline.  The vitriol they spread is bad enough and it definitely doesn't help when social media sites like Facebook, Tumblr and DeviantART not only overlook this bigotry but actually encourage it (Tumblr is a great example of this).  Project Offspring was thought up because people were fed up with this.  The idea behind Project Offspring is to create a social media website that is a safe space for people to relax, vent, have fun, meet new people, and be creative.  Bigots aren't welcome.  Now, to get this place off the ground, money is needed.  I've already emailed various technology and business websites to get much needed exposure for this project and have tweeted about it.  I'm really hoping this thing gets made.

Here's their website if you wanna know more:http://projectoffspring.tumblr.com/
